Five Hilarious Magic Tricks To Perform To The Kids

Hey. It’s me again folks, Max. I’ve been busy wizzy instigating some major mischief. All in the name of fun, of course.

This time, it’s all about magic tricks. I love them! I’m mostly into mischievous spells. Naturally.

Now, I’m no Harry Potter, but I do have a few tricks up my green sleeve to wow those little magicians in the making. Fancy learning a thing or two?

Abracadabra. Your wish is my command!

Disappearing Toothpick Spell.

Once you get the hang of it, this one is so easy. 100% entertainment rate in my experience folks.

You Will Need:

  • Toothpick
  • Tape

Add a small piece of tape to your toothpick. Tape the toothpick to the back of your thumb.

Put your hand in a fist and ta-dah. Toothpick comes into view.

When you open your hand, you need to be super careful to keep that pick hidden guys. It may take a bit of practice, but you got this.

Mischievous Cola Fountain.

Are you brave enough for a little mess? The garden could be a good idea for this one. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

You Will Need:

  • MAOAM Pinballs
  • Coke bottle
  • Space to cause mess

Gather the troops and head to the garden. Tell them you’re transforming the normal bottle of coke into a magical fountain!

Add a handful of pinballs to the coke bottle. The reaction may take a few seconds but will create a bubbling cola fountain!

Ninja Banana Trick.

You’re not just any magician. You, parent, are a Ninja Magician. Impress the kiddos by slicing a banana WHILST. Wait for it. Still in the peel! YES!

You Will Need:

  • Straight pin
  • Banana

It’s bananas how simple this is folks. You stick the pin in to slice the banana where you want it to break. Then, take the pin back out. Just don’t make any visible damage to the banana peel, or the gigs up team.

At the end of the prep, the banana will appear normal to your family. You then create ‘magical ninja moves’ and unpeel the banana. Have some fun with this part. Don’t touch the banana or those clever little minds will think that’s how you broke it.

It will drive them bananas working out how you did it. Too many banana puns? NEVER.

The Crayon Trick.

Feeling sneaky? This one can go on and on, keeping the little ones puzzled for a while. Hehehe.

You Will Need:

  • Crayons (easy)

Stand with your back facing the family. Keeping your hands behind your back, ask someone to pick up a crayon and place it in your hands, making sure you can’t see which one.

Feel the crayon in your fingers – pretending you’re getting a good feel for what colour it could be…

Turn around to face your audience, still with the crayon in your hands. Scrape the crayon with your thumbnail to transfer some wax onto your fingernail.

Keeping the crayon behind your back, use the hand with the wax on to do a magical hand gesture and get glimpse of the colour of wax on your fingernail – at lightning speed folks.

Reveal the answer. You can then try with different colours to prove just how magical you are! Mwahaha.

Eggcellent Trick.

This one will crack them up! I’m loving the puns today. I’ve had my Weetabix.

You Will Need:

  • Egg

Make breakfast more fun with a little magic trick.

Grab your egg. Wrap your hand around it and make sure that you apply an equal amount of pressure across the whole shell. Thing is, ready for this, when the egg is squeezed in this way, because of its shape, it won’t crack.

Even if you put all your strength into it. Bet you’re dying to try?

Go on, give it a go. I am right. Your little people will be amazed. No preparation needed for this one either! Just remember. Practice over a sink first so that you don’t get egg all over your face in front of your audience!

I put a spell on you to try these tricks at home!
